BOX4WATER SPS pumping stations
Pumping stations for wastewater collection, transfer and water supply applications.
BOX4WATER SPS stations are used where domestic, industrial or stormwater flows cannot be conveyed by gravity. Applications include municipal water supply and sewerage, delivery of wastewater to treatment plants, industrial and fire water supply, transfer of treated effluent and other pumping duties.
Configuration
The receiving tank collects and stores the working liquid before pumping. Station configurations may include a receiving tank with access ladders and hatches, duty and standby pumps, connecting pipework, isolating and non-return valves, debris screens, service platforms, level sensors, lifting equipment, instruments and control cabinets.
The tank volume is selected using the inflow and pumping schedule. Pumps are selected for the required head and maximum station flow. Combined arrangements and versions with a separate receiving tank are available.
Operating principle
Wastewater enters the receiving chamber through a pipeline. A debris basket retains large objects, while non-return valves prevent backflow through the pump pipework. Access hatches, guide rails and lifting chains allow pump servicing and removal.
Automatic and manual control
- At normal load, pumps operate alternately to remove the incoming flow.
- At peak load, an additional pump starts when the liquid reaches the specified level.
- At the emergency level, visual and audible alarms are activated.
- In manual mode, each pump is operated with its own start and stop controls. Indicator lights show pump status.
Installation and operation
Stations are designed for continuous operation. Supply and exhaust ventilation is provided in the receiving tank. Building or container versions include working and emergency lighting and can be finished in the customer's corporate colours.
Standard and explosion-protected electrical configurations are selected for the intended operating environment.
